We use only the freshest produce & quality meats (Boars Head) & cheeses and our salads and soups are made fresh daily. OUR HISTORY: Chapter 1 – Est. 1989

Mr. & Mrs. Pickles arrived in Pinellas County from Michigan in the mid 70s and soon became respected homebuilders in the Pinellas/Pasco County areas. In the early 80s, Mr. And Mrs. Plus arrived from New Jersey where they were owners of a popular deli in the central New Jersey area. “Pickles” met “Plus” at a high school baseball game and their friendship “marinated”. They decided to put their friendship to a test and open a Deli-restaurant that would serve the very best. Joe & Renee Benedettini –“Pickles” Ralph & Gail Natale– “Plus”

Chapter 2 – Est. 1998

Mr. & Mrs. Pickles had two children, a Sweet Little Gherkin and a Half-Sour Gherkin. It was because of the Sweet Little Gherkin that they met Mr. & Mrs. Plus at a high school baseball game. Anyway, after both gherkins graduated from UF (Go Gators!), the Sweet Gherkin, (who can be sometimes not so sweet), convinced the Half-Sour Gherkin (who is really only half-sweet), to “can” the building business and “jump into the brine”!
Basically, they blended pretty well… things got a little “bumpy” from time to time but overall, they decided that when you’re in a “Pickle” it’s never “smooth”! Realizing that lots of “Picky People Pick Pickles Plus”, they didn’t “dilly deli” around… instead they decided to buy out “Pickles & Plus” (who were getting a little “pruny” from being in the brine so long) and keep pushing ahead so that even more people could get a taste of the very best & see exactly why Pickles Plus IS...”The Deli Picky People Pick!”
